Cafe Pellegrini Pizzeria

Hi everyone,
I hope you've all had a weekend as lovely as mine!

On Sunday, the girls and I spent the afternoon out in celebration of the baby of the group Eileen's 17th birthday! Eileen treated us all to a quick lunch of pizzas at Pellegrini Cafe before seeing Star Trek Into Darkness.

Located on O'Connell Street, right across the street from the Picadilly cinemas

The man (left) behind the counter saw me with my big camera and offered to pose for a photo with the man making the pizzas! How sweet is that? I told them I'd have a blog post up with their photo in it, so hello if you're reading this :)

The 6 of us were tossing up between ordering two 12" pizzas and three 9" pizzas when Eileen very smartly suggested we order three 9" pizzas to allow room for popcorn later. This also meant we'd be able to sample another pizza and that there would be enough for each of us to try one slice from each pizza. Perfect!

9" Gourmet Mediterranean
Marinated lamb, fresh tomato, onion, herbs, capsicum, cheese and tzatziki
 $19

I prefer my pizzas simple with minimal toppings but I still liked this. The tzatziki had a nice flavour, not too overpowered by garlic, but texture was a bit too thick for my liking. I guess that's required so that it doesn't go everywhere on the pizza. Also, the lamb wasn't tough which I was afraid of encountering. Not something I'd order again, but I would recommend it for people who want to try something new.

9" Italiana
Fresh tomato, prosciutto, bocconcini cheese, baby spinach
$15

My favourite! Very simple and absolutely delicious. It brought together two things which I love eating: baby spinach and bocconcini! I loved the fresh tomato on a really thin and crispy base. The prosciutto was not too salty and went very nicely with everything else on the pizza. Definitely one I would recommend trying if you're like me and love simplicity on a pizza!

9" BBQ Chicken
Tomato cheese, pineapple and chicken with bbq sauce
$15

Nothing too special here. It had the thin crispy base which gets it into my good books, but it wasn't really memorable. I honestly can't even remember what it tastes like right now, apart from the fact that I liked how the BBQ sauce wasn't too rich and thick.

I think this is a place worth visiting for their pizzas. I've heard that they also do takeaway, which would be a good option for those who live in the area! The service is great - all the staff are so lovely and friendly, and the food didn't take long at all to come out after we ordered. The staff even made a point of asking about the birthday girl, which was very nice of them.

Cafe Pellegrini Pizzeria on Urbanspoon

After lunch, we went straight across the street to what we were all looking forward to: Benedict Cumberbatch and his incredibly attractive voice and face on the big screen STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS!

We all took a photo in this cute cut out promoting the sequel to Monsters Inc! I remember seeing it when I was a little girl 12 years ago (I know, I don't believe it either)
So, I'm a Star Trek newbie. I made sure I did a little bit of reading the night before, taking care not to spoil anything for myself! I've never properly watched anything Star Trek related (unless you count Sheldon's Star Trek references on the Big Bang Theory). This movie has converted me and I plan on having a bit of a marathon to educate myself after my mid year exams!

It was incredible. The film was visually stunning - the special effects were awesome and made it all seem so real! I especially loved the first scene because the colours were so bright and vivid. One of my favourite elements was the soundtrack. Having played certain musical instruments for the past 12 years, I've always had a keen ear and appreciation for music everywhere, particularly in films. (On a side note, one of my favourite film soundtracks is the Pirates of the Caribbean) The soundtrack for this film was so amazing. It was a major contributor to successfully building intensity in a lot of the scenes.

Also, I think the choice of actors and actresses was spot on. Benedict Cumberbatch was BRILLIANT! My love for him started when my friends got me interested in Sherlock, a BBC show (which is amazing by the way - go watch it if you haven't!). I must admit, the main reason we have all been dying to see this is because he has a main role in it! I'm sure every time he appeared on the screen, we all swooned a little. He looks mighty fine in black. I also loved Zachary Quinto as Spock. I can't pass a judgement basing on character as I've never watched Leonard Nimoy in the role, but I still think Zachary Quinto did a great job! I've been a fan of him ever since Heroes and I thought he suited the antagonist role very well. It was great to see him in a different sort of role. Of course, it is impossible to love Chris Pine - I think he brought great energy to the role and made it his own. I also loved Simon Pegg, bringing his comedic side to the role of Scotty which added a little something extra to the film. I'm sure the rest of the cinema-goers would agree with me as we were all giggling at the little things he did! Another actor I liked was Anton Yelchin - he was just so cute in his role.
I highly recommend seeing this film, even if you're not a Star Trek fan!

Again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN, EILEEN!

Nghi Ngan Quan

Hi everyone,
Hope this week has been treating you nicely!

Today's post features Nghi Ngân Quán, a restaurant tucked away in the Western suburbs. Though it's not in a restaurant-plenty section of Adelaide, it's still well known for it's Vietnamese cuisine.
My family and I had dinner here tonight in celebration of my parents' 21st wedding anniversary! Thinking about that is a bit mind boggling, for me. To think that they're both only in their mid 40s yet they've already cracked the 20 year mark. Wow!

Dad suggested this restaurant because he's been curious about the dinner menu for quite a while. This was a regular Sunday lunch spot for our family until we moved houses, so we haven't visited for quite some time. And my, has this place changed! I remember it as a being very simplistic with minimal decor. I'm not even sure when it was redone, but I think it's been repainted, a new bar has been installed and a new serving system has been put in place.

 The menus

Tonight, we decided on the Seven Dish Beef as our main. This was recommended to serve 3-4 people, which was perfect because my family consists of 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a toddler. This particular menu item set us back $70.

 Vietnamese salad with beef

What a fabulous start to our meal! The salad was fresh, vibrant and delicious. I really liked how the fish sauce based dressing was placed in a separate bowl because I hate when salad veggies are soggy. The dressing was light and not too overpowering, which suited the crunchy vegetables very nicely. The slight spiciness was lovely! The beef was tender and faintly marinated, which I liked because any more and it would have clashed with the dressing. I definitely recommend this dish!

 Honey king prawns $16

My sister was craving honey prawns so we ordered this as an entrée for the entire table. To say that this was a disappointment would be too generous. The batter was WAY too thick - my brother was complaining that he couldn't find any prawn meat amongst it! It wasn't even crunchy, and being soaked in the thick honey goo made it even worse. Definitely steer clear of this if you ever visit.

Lychee smoothie (L) and custard apple smoothie (R) $4 each

We also ordered a durian smoothie but my brother was too eager for a drink and dove in before I could even snap a photo! The lychee smoothie is something I used to order every time I visited as a little girl, and it's definitely as good as I remember it to be. Light, refreshing and delicious! My sister commented that her smoothie was only okay - she wishes she'd ordered an avocado smoothie. And the durian smoothie; let's just say that if you're a fan of durian (which I'm not!), you'll enjoy it.

The grill, rice paper for making rolls, fresh chilli and the dipping sauce

Fresh lettuce and herbs, sliced radish, carrots, cucumber and pineapple, and vermicelli

Such a HUGE platter! We couldn't even finish all of it.

Clockwise from the left corner
Beef wrapped in betel leaves
Lemon wedges
Sesame beef
Vietnamese-style beef patties
Butter for the grill
Beef marinated in Vietnamese vinegar
Rare beef marinated in lemon and pepper (centre)

This was also a huge platter.
My favourite was definitely the beef wrapped in betel leaves. I loved how juicy and tender the meat was on the inside and how well the betel leaves complimented it. Of course, I do attribute some of this to the fact that my mum cooked them perfectly on the grill! The sesame beef grilled with butter is another favourite, though it's something I occasionally have at home so it didn't grab my attention tonight. The beef patties weren't too bad either - I liked the flavour but it wasn't a stand out. We ended up not eating the rare marinated lemon and pepper beef. Instead, we cooked it with the vinegar marinated beef in a pot which came out after we finished with the grill (I forgot to get a photo!). Pretty much all of the dishes, except the beef wrapped in betel leaves, were wrapped in rice paper with the vermicelli and fresh veggies. Though I didn't love every single dish, I did like the idea of bringing together 7 different beef dishes.

 Grilling the meat

The final dish was actually beef congee, but none of us had any room left in our stomachs! We ended up taking home in a takeaway container. I can't bring myself to have any right now, but I must admit I never have beef congee at home. The norm for me is duck or pork mince congee, but that could possibly be just my family's preferences?

Fried ice-cream with chocolate topping $5.50

We ended up ordering two of these to share a while after the table was cleared. I really wanted to see if these fit the image I have of the perfect fried ice-cream! The first thing I went for was the batter. I was happy to see that it was thinner and slightly crunchier than the disaster I had at Toptai a few weeks ago. However, the ice-cream centre was not creamy or dense enough and the chocolate topping ruined it. I should really stop ordering it with a topping - all the ones I have encountered are horrible. So, all in all, though this has a better batter than the one at Toptai, the quality of the ice-cream itself just doesn't compare. I'll have to call it even!

We all quite enjoyed the meal. Though they weren't the best interpretations of the Vietnamese dishes we have encountered, they were still pretty tasty. I think this might be because we are Vietnamese and are used to mum's amazing cooking, so we're always extra picky when it comes to Vietnamese food! However, for those who don't often have Vietnamese food, I think this would make a very enjoyable meal. There's also the fun factor involved in cooking your own food. Also, the 7 beef dishes alone cost a total of $70 and left the 5 of us stuffed, so it's great value!

The service was fantastic. For a Wednesday evening, I'd say the restaurant was quite busy, yet the  waiters and waitresses were very friendly and attentive. After ordering, the drinks arrived after 5 minutes and the salad arrived after only 10 or so minutes! After clearing the table, the desserts didn't take long at all to come out, either. Top marks for service!

Overall, 8/10

River Cafe

Hi everyone,

Firstly, I just wanted to let you know that posts will probably be a little slow in the next few weeks as my mid year exams are fast approaching!

Today, I wanted to share a beautiful restaurant which I had the pleasure of visiting earlier this year in celebration of my godmother's birthday, the River Cafe.

This restaurant was in the most beautiful location; right on the River Torrens with an incredible view of both the river and the CBD. I have previously dined here for both lunch and dinner and the view has been spectacular both times! The restaurant has a very modern, yet classic feel. During the day it is bright and open, whilst during the evening, the lights are dimmed which makes the view of the CBD even more spectacular. What I loved most about the set up of the restaurant was that every single table had a lovely view.

 Set menu for the day

GORGEOUS flowers that my godmother ordered for each table. This photo probably doesn't do them any justice. The colour really was even more vibrant!

 My entrée
Gnocchi e Sugo
House made potato gnocchi in a rich tomato sumo with basil & ricotta salata

This really wasn't a stand out dish for me. It wasn't a completely terrible dish, but nothing about it screamed 'wow'. I did like how the gnocchi was cooked though - soft pillows of potato goodness!

My main
Oven Baked Chicken Breast
Filled with mascarpone & marsala figs, red rice & almond pilaf, pancetta & a tarragon sauce

When this first came out, I was mortified to see that it was undercooked. I notified the staff immediately, who took it back to the kitchen, and while I waited, I had a taste of my sister's main. It arrived back at the table after 30 minutes (everyone else was close to finishing their meals!), when I was starving and expecting a lot from it. The chicken was overcooked, but by this point, I was willing to just dive in. I really enjoyed the filling and thought it complimented the chicken very well. I absolutely loved the red rice - it had a very nice woody flavour, very Middle Eastern, I think, and went surprisingly well with the chicken. The pancetta added a great crunchy texture to the dish and the mash was delicious. I wish there was more of the tarragon sauce though - what you can see on the picture is all I got! Also, it would have been nice to have a a fresh element to cut through and contrast with all the rich flavours on the dish.

My sister's main
 Char Grilled Beef Fillet
Limestone Coast been cooked medium, with a parsnip puree, broccolini & balsamic glaze

This was delicious! The beef fillet was cooked to perfection and extremely tender. Broccolini is one of my favourite vegetables so I was very happy when I saw it on the plate! (Even though it wasn't my meal) The parsnip puree was very smooth and tasted great with the beef. I think the hero of the dish was the balsamic glaze - a forkful of the beef with the mash, covered in balsamic glaze was incredible! I definitely recommend ordering this if you ever visit.

My dessert
Panna Cotta
Orange blosson & honey panna cotta, cardamon spiced persimmon

This was the perfect panacotta. Though I couldn't taste any orange blossom flavours, the flavour of the honey was lovely! It was subtle enough not to overpower the palate and went very nicely with the rest of the elements. I could have sworn the cardamon spiced persimmons were dried apricots.... but I'll let it slide since the panacotta was delicious!

My sister's dessert
 White Chocolate Semifreddo
With strawberry salsa, amaretti, lemon and basil granita

Two thumbs up from me for this dish. The semifreddo was delicious and the texture was perfect. I think it would have been even better if the white chocolate flavour was a little more prominent. My favourite element by far was the basil granita. It was so refreshing and complimented the strawberry salsa so well. Also, the strawberry salsa was not too sweet which let the slight natural tang of the strawberry come through. Loved it, and I was a little jealous that my sister had most of it to herself! (Of course I had to sneak in a few tastes :P )

Flat white

This came out about fifteen minutes after everyone had finished their desserts. It wasn't the best I have ever had but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

This restaurant is definitely one which I would recommend. The service was great - the staff were very friendly, attentive and extremely organised! Very professional and something I think the restaurant owner should be very proud of. The restaurant was extremely classy and I loved the atmosphere which the glass walls, bright lighting during the day and simplicity of the decor created. I think it would be perfect for a date - either during the day or during the evening. I also liked how the furniture was a little different on the deck which gave that a more casual feel. Also, the views really are spectacular! Perfect for a function/event, or even just lunch or dinner.
Overall, 9/10 . A point was docked for the undercooked chicken.

Pho Ba Ria 2

Hi everyone,
Hope you're all well!

Today's post features Pho Ba Ria 2 on Hanson Road. This little gem has been a family favourite for phở for an extremely long time. We've been going here since I was a little girl and have witnessed management change a few times, but the phở has always been good! It's a quick and easy meal for whenever any of us can't be bothered cooking - we either dine in or order takeaway. Our Sunday lunch visit saw the restaurant packed to the brim as usual!

Fresh bean sprouts and herbs to go with the Phở

Phở đặc biệt
Combination Beef Noodle Soup (small) $9
Extra: Bò viên
Meatballs $1.50

SO good! The broth is clear and rich in flavour. It has all the right herbs and spices in the right proportions, resulting in a delicious combination leaving us satisfied every single time. The noodles themselves are delicious and perfectly cooked, and the thinly sliced beef is spot on!

 Bún măng vịt
Vermicelli with steamed duck and bamboo shoots $11.50

I never order this whenever I visit but my parents seem to love it. The steamed duck was very nicely cooked and tender. I think the broth requires an acquired taste, and the scent of it is something I'll never get used to! I've tasted it a few times and it's actually quite tasty once you get past the scent!

Hủ Tiếu xào Kway Teo
 Combination Kway Teow $13

This is, in no shape or form, an authentic Kway Teow but it's still tasty. A huge assortment of vegetables and proteins were tossed together in a soy based sauce and served with a {rather extreme} amount of fried egg! As I said, tasty, but definitely not authentic.

Cơm tấm đặc biệt
Combination broken rice $9.50

This place does one of the best combination broken rice dishes in Adelaide, for sure. The fried pork ribs (top left of the dish) are cooked to absolute perfection ever single time I have it - deliciously crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. The roast pork (bottom of the plate) had a lovely crispy skin and tender meat. I believe it's sourced from a BBQ place tucked away just behind the row of shops where Ba Ria 2 is located, parallel to Hanson Rd - Hong Phat BBQ. Just quietly, this tiny little place does the BEST Asian style roast ducks, porks and chickens! Definitely pay them a visit - the man who works there is so friendly. Back to the dish, the sweetened fish sauce is the perfect accompaniment to everything else! My only complaint would be the pork and egg omelette (the square shaped piece located bottom right). My mum makes this better than anyone/anywhere I know but I promise I am not biased when I say that this is the only thing not on par with the rest of the dish. Too dense, packed full of clear vermicelli and lacking it meat - it is a disappointment every time and I always leave it behind on my plate!

 Sinh tố bơ
Avocado smoothie $3.50

Sounds weird right? NO! Try it if you ever get the opportunity. I assure you, once you've tried one, you won't be able to go back! It's a delicious blend of avocados, condensed milk, sugar and ice. Not the most health friendly drink, but trust me, it's soooo good!

I definitely recommend visiting this place! It's very simple and minimalistic, and truly all about the food.  Service is fantastic and the food doesn't take long at all to arrive at your table. There is an extensive menu which does include food that is not Vietnamese, but I promise that everything Vietnamese is authentic or as authentic as you can get here in Adelaide! A meal is reasonably cheap and one person can be well fed for even less than $15. It's open for lunch and dinner on everyday except Wednesday, but I prefer lunch visits. Give it a go the next time you're in need of a phở fix! I promise you won't be disappointed.
Overall, 8.5/10.

Ps. Across the street is a place called 'Fruity Fruits' (I know right, funny name) which sells fresh sugar cane juice. Don't miss it!

Toptai

Hello everyone,

I hope that you're all well and excited for a day dedicated to the most important women in our lives today - Mother's Day! Wishing all the beautiful mothers out there an extra special day and that your children spoil you even more than usual!
Last night, my family decided to have an early celebration with my godparents.

We decided on Toptai, located in the heart of North Adelaide; in the North Adelaide Village on O'Connell Street.

I had quite high expectations of this place because I'd dined here for a birthday dinner at the end of last year and the dishes we ordered were delicious. Also, Toptai was awarded the 'Best Thai Restaurant SA 2012'.

{Apologies for lack of menu descriptions - I didn't think that I needed to take any pictures of the menu itself when I was there, but I haven't been able to find any of their updated menus online!}

Definitely good to know!

 Pork Belly $17.50

The menu description stated: "Tender pork belly with sweet herbal dressing". Now, this was anything but sweet! However, it was still very rich in flavour and went very nicely with the jasmine rice. The meaty part of the pork was definitely tender which, in conjunction with the rich sauce, made it a very hearty dish. We didn't end up finishing it though because it became too much after a few mouthfuls.

 Happy Duck Salad $25
[GF]

I loved this salad! Very refreshing and the touch of heat in the dressing really packed a punch. Though, I do think that there could've been less dressing as this resulted in soggy salad vegetables swimming in a pool of dressing. I think the duck could have been placed on top of the veggies rather than underneath it, because it lost the crunchy texture of the meat surface after a very short amount of time. When it first arrived though, the meat was cooked perfectly and was complimented very nicely by the crunchy, tangy salad.

Grilled pepper fillet $19.50
[GF]

This was a bit of a disappointment. It just didn't stand out among the other dishes. I have to say, it definitely wasn't bland - it had a nice peppery sauce, but all the different ingredients were blurred together because they all had very similar textures. Definitely wouldn't recommend ordering this!

Choo Chee Prawn Curry $21
[GF]

This might have been the dish of the night! We all thoroughly enjoyed it. The prawns were cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious - not too heavy or overpowered by the coconut cream. I would definitely recommend this!

Basil Fried Rice $9.50
[GF]

I really liked the flavour of the basil with the rice in this dish. Props to the chef for cooking the rice perfectly - it wasn't too grainy or mushy. I've had some pretty terrible attempts at fried rice in my life, but this one definitely doesn't fit in that category!

Salt and pepper squid $18.50

This is what you would expect of salt and pepper squid - a crunchy, well spiced batter coating a piece of tender squid! To be honest though, I would've expected more squid for $18.50.

Seasonal vegetable stir fry in cashew nut sauce $14.50
[GF]

I didn't hate this, but I didn't love it either. I liked the fact that there was a huge variety of vegetables, but half of them were overcooked! The flavour of the cashew nut sauce added a very nice nuttiness, but there was way too much of it. However, I guess it did do it's job - being a source of veggies for the meal.

Fried icecream with chocolate sauce $6

Boy was this a disappointment. For me, the perfect fried icecream is a dense ball of icecream coated in a piping hot, crunchy, thin layer of batter. This was anything but. The batter was so thick and the shredded coconut pieces were way too large. Also, it was cold when it arrived at the table so was lacking the crunch. At least the vanilla icecream centre was nice and dense? Not enough to make up for the horrid batter though.

Overall, we really enjoyed the dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive (except one waitress who spilt my drink while pouring it into my glass and didn't apologise), and the food didn't take too long to come out once we had ordered. The rest of the party really enjoyed all the food, which I'm glad of because they put me in charge of ordering! Most of the dishes were reasonably priced and very tasty. Definitely not completely authentic Thai food, but it was still very enjoyable!
Overall, 8.5/10.

Once again, Happy Mother's day and I hope everyone enjoys the remainder of the weekend :)

Top 5 songs of the moment

Hello everyone,
Hope you're all well.

So week 1 of term 2 just finished and I have to say, this year is going WAY too quickly! There are only 6 more weeks until my mid year exams, and just over 20 weeks until I finish year 12! Wow.
While I haven't been out at all since school started, I still wanted to keep my blog active with other sorts of posts. Today, I thought I'd bring you a post about my current favourite songs.

I'm an avid music lover. I love all sorts of music - I've played the violin for 12 years and the piano for 11 years so I absolutely love 'classical' music. 'Classical' is in inverted commas because it's the general, socially accepted broad label given to any music before the contemporary era. Specifically, I love the Romantic era!
Recently, I've also developed a love for old school jazz. It's so relaxing and perfect to listen to while I study, if I ever feel the need to have something in the background.
I'm also a big fan of music that is 'different'. Don't get me wrong, I love jamming to a bit of Bruno Mars now and again, but I love artists such as Kimbra (who I had the pleasure of meeting last year!) who aren't afraid to stand out. I also love Radiohead, who's songs are just brilliant, and The Sundance Kids, who broke up at the end of last year but will always remain as one of my favourite bands.
I also don't mind a bit of K-pop!

I honestly could go on forever about my loves in music but I wouldn't be able to stop myself writing a novel! So, let's just get straight into it.

In no particular order,

1. Get Lucky
Artist: Daft Punk ft. Pharrell Williams.
    Album: Random Access Memories

Oh my goodness, this song. I have been a fan of Daft Punk for such a long time so when I found out that they'd be releasing this song, I was ecstatic! It's been sooo long since they've released anything, but this makes up for the wait. I saw the Coachella preview and let me tell you, I couldn't stay still in my seat! I love the vibe this song gives off - like a 70s dance track. It's just a general feel-good song and I can't get enough of it. Also, I think Pharrell's voice suits the song very well. Get Lucky is slightly different to their older songs, but I still love it. I'm very excited for the rest of the album to be released later this month!

2. Q.U.E.E.N
Artist: Janelle Monae ft. Erykah Badu
    Album: The Electric Lady

The first time I watched the music video for this song, I immediately fell in love. Every single aspect of it appealed to me. Firstly, I think Janelle Monae's voice is incredible. I really love the slight edge in her voice, though it sounds like she's speaking-singing sometimes. I think the song is lots of fun and the beat is great! Also, the subtle synth sounds in the background for the majority of the song which carries the main melody also adds a nice touch.
I love how the main colours of the video are red, white and black. The striped dresses that the back up dancers are wearing are FABULOUS! I really want one! Also, kudos to the makeup artist/s. Janelle's simple look consisting of a bright red lip, simple lined eyes, highlighting, contouring and flawless skin suited her extremely well and she looks gorgeous. However, what really caught my attention was the back up dancers' makeup looks at 1:45. I loved how the makeup artist emphasised their eyes with the cut crease using black liner and applying white eyeshadow to the lids. Amazing!

3. Let Her Go
    Artist: Passenger
    Album: All the Little Lights

I must admit the first time I heard this song, I didn't really take any notice of it. However, my sister went to Ed Sheeran's concert where Passenger was a support act and she couldn't stop raving about him, so I decided to give this song another go. What also really helped was that this song was often played on the radio so I'd hear it when I was driving or on my way to school. I really like how different his voice is, and how it actually couples quite nicely with this kind of song. I love the melody and how soothing the song is.

4. Crave You
    Artist: Flight Facilities ft. Giselle
    Album: [single]

Ever since I discovered Flight Facilities last year, I've been absolutely obsessed. I listened to their singles so often that I was scared I'd get sick of them, but they're so difficult to dislike! This year, Flight Facilities released I Didn't Believe featuring the vocals of Elizabeth Rose but it just doesn't have the same appeal to me as Crave You, released back in 2010. I love the clever lyrics and the vocals against the chord progressions in the background. Overall a very chilled song that's infectious and extremely hard to get sick of!

5. Carried Away
    Artist: Passion Pit
    Album: Gossamer

I LOVE this! It's such a fun song but the lyrics hint at difficulties between two different people but are still trying to maintain a relationship (my interpretation and also from what I've read online). I haven't been a huge Passion Pit fan for very long - I actually stumbled upon them while watching Rage one morning. However, I have to say that this is one of my favourite songs by them. I find it impossible to not sing along whenever I hear it! Also, I think Sophia Bush is gorgeous in the video and had a really fun character to portray.

Thanks for reading everyone! Hope you enjoyed a taste of the kind of music I enjoy :)
Much love as always.
